In the summer of 2010, AWEJA Railsystemen BV developed a new production method for its crane track support bearing plates together with several partners.
The previous production process required bearing plates to be drilled along their outer surface. The disadvantage of this procedure was that holes were no longer aligned due to the curvature of the plate, despite the plate still being within rolling tolerance. During assembly, the plate had to be straightened in order to align the holes. AWEJA tackled these issues in its new production process and can guarantee simple, efficient assembly of every bearing pate.
